There has been an increase in interest for exposure to foreign companies and to companies that have sales and operations globally. As such, over the past months, there has been inflow of capital into the international ETF provided by Vanguard VT – Total World Stock ETF.
The ETF owns shares in companies in developed and emerging markets. This is also a highly liquid ETF with assets of about 31 billion USD. While its holding includes foreign stocks, its most significant allocation goes to US internal firms including Microsoft, Tesla and Amazon.
The increased interest in this ETF highlights interest of investors to diversify in companies that have international footprint. From performance perspective, VT has risen from about 90$ per share to 102$, good for 11% increase.
