Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled Associate Portfolio Manager to join our dynamic team. The Associate Portfolio Manager will work closely with senior portfolio managers and investment professionals to support the management and growth of client portfolios. This role requires a deep understanding of financial markets, investment strategies, and portfolio management techniques.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist senior portfolio managers in the day-to-day management of client portfolios, including trade execution, rebalancing, and performance monitoring.
  • Conduct in-depth research and analysis on individual securities, sectors, and markets to identify investment opportunities and risks.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of investment strategies, asset allocation decisions, and portfolio construction techniques.
  • Prepare investment proposals, client presentations, and performance reports for client meetings and presentations.
  • Monitor market developments, economic indicators, and geopolitical events to assess their potential impact on portfolio positioning and asset allocation.
  • Collaborate with research analysts, traders, and other stakeholders to gather insights and information for investment decision-making.
  • Participate in investment committee meetings and contribute to discussions on portfolio strategy, risk management, and investment outlook.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, regulatory developments, and best practices in portfolio management to enhance knowledge and skills.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, or a related field. Advanced degree (e.g., MBA, CFA) preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in investment management, asset management, or related field.
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with the ability to conduct detailed financial analysis and modeling.
  • Solid understanding of financial markets, investment products, and portfolio management principles.
  • Proficiency in investment analysis tools and software, such as Bloomberg, FactSet, or Morningstar Direct.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex investment concepts to both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Proactive attitude, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • CFA charterholder or progress towards CFA designation is a plus.
