Position Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chartered Market Technician (CMT) to join our team. The CMT will be responsible for conducting technical analysis of financial markets and providing actionable insights to support investment decision-making. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of technical analysis techniques and a proven track record of success in applying these techniques to real-world trading scenarios.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct technical analysis of various financial markets, including stocks, bonds, commodities, and currencies.
  • Utilize a wide range of technical indicators, chart patterns, and other analytical tools to identify trends, support/resistance levels, and potential trading opportunities.
  • Develop and implement trading strategies based on technical analysis insights, taking into account risk management principles and market dynamics.
  • Monitor market conditions and economic trends to stay informed of potential opportunities and risks.
  • Collaborate with portfolio managers, traders, and other stakeholders to integrate technical analysis into the investment decision-making process.
  • Generate regular reports and presentations to communicate technical analysis findings and trading recommendations to internal teams and clients.
  • Stay updated on developments in the field of technical analysis and incorporate new methodologies and best practices into the investment process.
  • Mentor junior analysts and provide guidance on technical analysis techniques and strategies.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, mathematics, or a related field. Advanced degree (e.g., MBA, CFA) preferred.
  • Chartered Market Technician (CMT) designation required.
  • Proven experience in technical analysis of financial markets, with a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.
  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex data sets and draw meaningful conclusions.
  • Proficiency in technical analysis software and tools, such as Bloomberg, Thomson Reuters Eikon, or TradingView.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, with a strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
